Along the way to Professor Oak's lab, Tsuki faced a dilemma. The question of what pokemon he was going to select from the five starters. However, he was unable to answer that himself, seeing as he didn't know that much about the five starters. Upon arriving he met Professor Oak who most people claimed was a nice guy. Luckily Tsuki or who appeared to be the first person there met up with the Professor. Before selecting his pokemon, Professor Oak began to recite some pokemon poetry about the different starters. In the middle of listening to the poems, Tsuki made up his mind and selected Eevee. The particular thing that caught his eye about Eevee was that it is capable of evolving into three different evolutions. When his selection was made, Professor Oak handed him the standard equipment for every beginning trainer. Soon, Tsuki left the lab and began on his pokemon journey.

Excited to have gotten his first pokemon, he continuously ran around the area around the lab. Soon after all the excitement had come to a momentary pause, Tsuki got serious and began to ponder. Ok I know that some of the herbs mom gave me, may have died while I was walking to the lab seeing as the trip took a couple of days. But where am I going to get some herbs, thought Tsuki. He took a quick glance around the field of flowers and plants that surrounded him. Luckily all the herbs he needed were right there in the field to his left. However the field was marked "Private Property" and there was also a tiny little hut at the entrance of that field. Tsuki approached the hut with great caution, man there might be some crazy person living here, but then why would anyone plant any of these lovely herbs, thought a intimidated Tsuki. With his hand extended toward the door Tsuki knocked on it, but nobody answered. He knocked on it again and still there was no answer. Again he went to knock on the door, but before he could and tiny old man opened it. One hand was opening the door the other with a cane pointing at Tsuki. Oh man this guy really is crazy, but I gotta ask him.

Tsuki looked at the old man with a somewhat scared look on his face, not sure of what ask.
"Yes, what do you youngsters want with me? Can't you all see that this is private property."
"Sorry sir, I know that it is private, but I was wondering if I could pick some of the herbs off your garden? I know I shouldn't have come onto your property, but I really need some of the herbs in your garden to make some pokemon medicine. So if you will allow me I will pick the herbs I need."
"Fine you can pick the herbs, but don't take too much. However before you start picking them I want to have a cup of tea with you, its not everyday that I have a visitor." Tsuki went inside the hut and engaged in conversation with the old man who after much talk, turned out to be a very nice person. Soon after finishing his last cup of tea, Tsuki walked out into the garden and began to pick the herbs he needed, making sure to not harm the other plants and herbs. When he was done, Tsuki walked to the old man and showed him the herbs he had picked.
"That's a good amount of herbs and from the looks of it you seem to be very knowledgeable about pokemon medicine. Anyway good luck on your journey to become a pokemon master, I am sure you will be a success."
"Thank you sir and now I should be going it's getting late and I really should get going to nearest Pokemon Center." Tsuki then walked off into the distant sun which just so happened to be in the direction of the Pokemon Center.

Along the path toward the Pokemon Center, it began to get dark. However this did not bother Tsuki, whose mind was elsewhere. I wonder what kind of pokemon food will Eevee like? Well only one way to find out. Tsuki grabbed Eevee's pokeball out of his bag, threw it into the air, and yelled, "Come on out Eevee! Ok Eevee, lets come up with a nickname for you. Also were going to find out what kind of pokemon food you prefer." Tsuki took out many different types of pokemon food that went from spicy to sweet and place 3 pellets of each kind for Eevee to eat. Eevee walked up to each plate and only ate the sweet pokemon food. "So I guess you like sweet things, alright I'll make sweet food just for you. Now for your nickname I think something sweet will have to do. Hmm... oh I got it do you like the name Cookie?" Eevee nodded her head in complete agreement. "Alright from now on I will call you Cookie and I don't really like the idea of you being in the pokeball so I will keep you out and you can walk next to me." The two continued to walk to the Pokemon Center which just so happened to be in Viridian City. Unfortunately their walk was short when there was a mysterious figure standing in the middle of the road blocking their path. "Alright who is there?"

The mysterious figure didn't reply, but rather laughed nonstop. "Who I am is not of any importance. Your a new pokemon trainer and so am I, lets have a battle!"
"Fine I accept your challenge! Ready Cookie this is going to be your first pokemon battle ever!" Cookie got into a ready stance and waited for Tsuki to make his command.
"Ha Ha that is pathetic, this is your first battle. This is going to be easy, go Charmander!" The mysterious trainer's charmander also waited for commands. Tsuki did not attack right away as he needed to make an observation before attacking. "Hmm... since your not going to go first, Charmander use scratch on that Eevee." Luckily the charmander wasn't moving all that fast so Cookie was able to dodge the attack.
"Good work Cookie, keep dodging those moves!" After several more moves Cookie had gotten use to dodging the moves, but did not come out of it all unscathed as Cookie ended up getting hit a few times. On the plus side, Charmander got too tired after using scratch way too many times."Alright Cookie the enemy is tired so go use Tackle attack!" Too tired to dodge the move Charmander was hit full on and after repeated attack feinted. "Looks like you lost this battle"
"Looks like you did that was an awesome match, but now I must go." The Mysterious trainer then disappeared into thin air. Still injured, Tsuki carried Cookie in his arms making sure that he didn't let her go. He ran as fast he could to get to the Pokemon Center and after 15 minutes, he had reached the Pokemon Center in Viridian City, sweating as if he had been in a marathon. Despite being tired, Tsuki entered the building and immediatly ran up to the lady at the counter.
