Catching Pokemon:
Catching a pokemon is fairly easy, but the amount of time it takes can vary. As you can all see, the locations that pokemon are in have already been posted, and the levels in each area are going up soon. To catch a pokemon you must create a storyline where you encounter and capture said pokemon. There, of course, is a catch. Your posting in the thread will be graded and if it doesn't score at least a 6/10 on our scoring then the catch will be declined. This gives you an incentive to post well and try to make it an interesting catch. Even if you are denied the catch, you will still keep the experience from the storyline, only the pokemon will be lost. In the event that you successfully capture the pokemon the level of the pokemon will be determined by how much of a fight it put up. If the fight is short then the pokemon will be given the lowest level on the level range for that area. The move of a fight it puts up then the higher level it will start out on.
Learning moves:
Learning moves on this site is a bit different from learning them in the game. For your pokemon to learn a new move the trainer must teach it to them in a short storyline. They may do this with a friend or alone, as with any other storyline. Again, you will be graded on your quality and your storyline may not have to revolve around them learning the move. Again, you will be graded on the quality of your posts and the amount of effort you put into it. You may train to learn a new move every 5 levels. This move can be a move that the pokemon will learn next, or one that it is able to learn. You might ask, "Then what is the point of a TM?" With a TM you will not have to make a storyline to learn the move, you need only buy it and then tell us in your updates which pokemon you would like to use it on.
